I needed a quality Solitaire primer, but found nothing in the bookshops and was also put off by the overwhelmingly negative comments directed towards most of the other Solitaire primers available here on Amazon, which apparently are badly written, badly printed & bound and badly illustrated or even lacking illustrations altogether. I found this book for sale, but as it had zero reviews, I did a quick bit of research - this book was written back in the 1930s and this current edition is a 2013 reprint, so I thought it ought to have some inherent quality and took a blind punt. Although the price is slightly on the toppy side, nothing else disappoints. It's a quality-bound paperback and properly printed, written in crisp, clear and concise English, properly illustrated and with a huge range of games ranging from simple one-packs to highly-complex two-packs. Many games are also described with multiple variants/variations providing an almost infinite array of adapting games to your own liking. As such I can thoroughly recommend this book, cheers & take care!
