*** UPDATE ***Despite all our best intentions to try and find the pieces to make the games, we just haven't mustered up enough energy to do so. Instead my 5 year old has asked to move these Halloween pieces into his regular box of Legos. We said he was free to do so. And he hasn't asked about making anything from the book since then. So I have to adjust my review. He seems to like the pieces (the little skeleton especially) but has become discouraged about making any of the games. So it's fun to look at but much harder to accomplish. There are still some games that are easy to do with limited pieces, but, naturally, the ones he is most excited about are the elaborate ones. I adjusted the rating of my review to reflect the shine wearing off this particular book. Upon reflection, a basic Lego building book (with simple builds) and a small package of Halloween themed Legos (or the fun blind bag minifigures) may have made him happier.***In our house we love Legos, we love games, and we love Halloween - so this is right up our alley.We have some Lego board games and this isn't a guide book in creating games as complex as those. But it's fun in its own way - especially if you're looking for some short and sweet activities. This works great for my 5 year old who obviously has a much shorter attention span than my 15 year old.Very fun addition to our Lego collection. Also makes a great gift.NOTE: the pieces included are fun and Halloween themed. The best one is the skeleton but there's also a spider and a cauldron and a small green frog. These are purely "accessories" to the games. To make the games, you'll need an assortment of Lego pieces from base plates to Lego poles, so be prepared to go looking for them in your Lego totes.
