Got the cage together but because there are no written instructions provided it's alittlemaddening. Why?? Caused a big argument with my boyfriend putting it together. Instructions should be provided for the customer. The perches are the standard dowels..the one that goes inside the cage is not the full width of the cage so you'd have to place it diagnonally. I don't use dowel perches anyway. A little disappointed with the 1/2" bar spacing and the bars are not flexible. It's a very heavy cage. Getting the locks on was also frustrating..because again, no instructions. All in all, it's a nice cage.**Update 8/13/24. The cage is difficult to maintain due to the fact that the bottom surface of the cage is not flat like most cages. I'm not a newbie with birds or bird supplies..owned birds for 30 years and seen all types of cages. I made an expensive mistake buying this one. Problem is there is about a 1 inch gap on all sides of the bottom of the cage where you slide the tray in at the bottom. (See photos.) Because of these gaps on all 4 sides..debris falls into them making it a hassle to clean. I clean out my birds cage 2x a day. The debris collects in the gaps and that can not be prevented because of the poor design of this cage. Not well thought out by the manufacturerers. Almost 400 dollars..you wouldnt expect this. Terribly disappointing!
