I bought this for my three kids for Christmas (ages 5, 8, and 10) after reading the great reviews here. I brought these out for the first time last night... not really knowing what to expect. My kids, especially my oldest, aren't too enthusiastic about games. They LOVED this! The first card had them asking us questions like, "What's my favorite thing to play at recess?" and "Who are my best friends at school?" We got to impress them with knowing most of the right answers, but also got to learn some new things along the way. Then it was the adults turn to ask the kids questions. We asked, "Where was I born?" and "What elementary school did I attend?" The kids had so much fun guessing and it sparked GREAT conversation. I know it seems obvious to just sit and talk with your kids about these things, but in the hustle/bustle of everyday life it is great to have something like this to get started. The kids were eager for another card so we pulled the next one. It was a game. One person at the dinner table was to close their eyes while the other family members removed one item from the table and hid it underneath. Then the person opens their eyes and has to guess what was removed. Oh, did the kids LOVE this! We played over and over. It was definitely the longest we have spent at the dinner table together for awhile. My husband and I both commented on how much fun we had. Tonight when I asked my 8 year old daughter to set the table for dinner, I noticed that she pulled out "Dinner Games" and had them all ready to go on the table. They couldn't wait to play again. I think these will have a place at our dinner table for a long time. Great product.
