[Young Adult Fiction (Ages 12-17) ][Read by Emily Bauer ]New York Times bestselling author Kiersten White is back with the stunning sequel to Mind Games, which Publishers Weekly called ''a tour de force of perspective and unreliability'' in a starred review. -- Annie and Fia are ready to fight back. The sisters have been manipulated and controlled by the Keane Foundation for years, trapped in a never-ending battle for survival. Now they have found allies who can help them truly escape. After faking her own death, Annie has joined a group that is plotting to destroy the Foundation. And Fia is working with James Keane to bring his father down from the inside. But Annie's visions of the future can't show her who to trust in the present. And though James is Fia's first love, Fia knows he's hiding something. The sisters can rely only on each other -- but that may not be enough to save them.

This book is all leading up to an event, Fia's timeline is earlier in the future than Annies. Annie's starts right after the last book pretty much, which is four months before the end event and then slowly makes it way to the present and intertwines with Fia's timeline. Fia's timeline which starts five days before the main event. Fia is still as broken as ever as you learn right a way with her tap tap tap tapping that she has now killed four people, but you don't find out exactly what happens until Annie's timeline gets closer to Fia's. It fits together perfectly and seamlessly as the two timelines come together at the end at the end event.Where Fia seems to be loosing herself throughout the book, trying to put all the strings together that are slowly unraveling around her, Annie is being able to understand her self better, believe in her self more. There are new characters in this book that have great unique personalities, Pixie/Mae, and Saddie. And there are some old characters that you get to know a little more like Cole, Rafael, Adam and James. Overall each one has there own unique personalities and I don't feel like anyone is flat. They really make the book even more great.I end the book wanting more from Annie, wanting more from Fia. What will happen now? What will happen with Annie and her new relationships and Fia? And Adam? I want more, but this looks to be the last book of the series because everything is tied up at the end.
