What I like about it:- The movement is erratic, which is fun and unique- The shifting colored lights are pretty- The auto on/off function, so that I can use it while I'm away all dayWhat I don't like about it:- Even though there are two modes (slow and fast), even the slow mode is pretty fast and it scares my cat. She is curious about it but hasn't worked up the nerve to play with it (or she'll bat it a bit but then run away when it gets too active). I'm especially wary when it whips around in a circle quickly, I worry a bit about it whacking my cat in the eye. I switched the end toy to a softer feather just to be safe.- Mine might be slightly broken b/c even though it's supposed to auto-off after 10 mins, mine stays on for closer to 30 mins before shutting off. I don't like this b/c it's a waste of battery power. But maybe just a fluke!(Note my model didn't come with a remote, though that would have been a nice addition!)If my cat was more brave and not a bit of a scaredy cat (haha) I could see this being a great hit!My cat enjoys this! I’m happy with how it’s workingMy 5 month old Ragdoll kitten LOVES it! It can be a little violent when it does the circle spins but he quickly learned to adjust his distance. Due to its size it can get stuck under/between things. It really helps tire out the kitten since my older cat hasn’t warmed up to him just yet.The 2 I bought does not stay charged long enough I’ve already returned 1If you enjoy seeing your cat get thonked in the face and head this is the toy for you. They both loved it until the got hit in the face and are now very leeryUPDATED REVIEW: I got the replacement, and it works very well, but there's still issues.1- The main thing is it's just too fast. Pretty much any movement causes the pole and attached toy to whip around really hard, smacking any interested cat in the face. All our cats are pretty much scared of it for this reason, and once even got a small scratch on their nose from being hit. The speed also makes it very hard to control in manual mode. Even the "slow" auto speed is still very quick and causes the same whipping issue.2- I took the toy pole off to see if any of the cats might just like to chase the main toy, and it can't really go anywhere without the pole on it - the wheel speed and force are so overpowered that it just spins the middle component rather that moving unless the pole is attached to hit the floor and stop the middle part from spinning, therefore forcing the wheels to move the whole thing.3- lastly, the sensor that's supposed to stop it from running into things and getting stuck doesn't really work.It's a nice idea, but there's just too many problems to make it very useable.Original review:I charged the toy for over 24 hours waiting for the lights to go off (as the instructions say they're supposed to once fully charged). Even thought the lights were still going, I went ahead an tried playing with it after letting it charge for so long and it lasted 2 minutes before dying and not coming back on. I've submitted for a replacement and will change my review if the next works fine.My cat is very upset because, for the 2 minutes it worked, she was massively into it and now just keeps screaming at me to play more with it lolMy cat loves it and it saves us time and energy.Very well made and easy to use. I charged up the toy, attached the feathers with bells, turned it on and our cat was running around chasing it and having the time of her life. When it stopped moving, she would move in front of it, and the sensor would see her movement and turn back on. Hours of fun for her. Very well made for the price, highly recommend.
